Book Talk and Vocabulary: Friday

Dear Parents,
Mr. Kitch, Mr. Sweet, and Mrs. Koue are considering a new end of the year trip for our students.  We have found that the majority of kids go to the Boardwalk frequently and have season passes, so it is not really a special trip because kids go there all of the time.  Our fifth grade team is considering going to Roaring Camp for an exciting simulation of pioneer days. Please take the time to vote on our end-of-the year field trip.  We would like your feedback! Please read below and vote here:

Here is a blurb from the Roaring Camp website:

"Explore the life style of 1840's pioneers as trappers, traders and settlers demonstrate their skills in blacksmithing, open-hearth cooking and spinning. Learn candle making, gold panning, pioneer games and square dancing. Experience class in a one-room schoolhouse. Listen to Isaac Graham's story and Native American lore. This package includes a trip on a vintage locomotive and narrative of the California Redwood Forest.

Students: $29.50 (an adult rides for $17.00 with every four student tickets purchased)
Additional adults: $24.50"
