We had a great day up at the UCSC Life Lab where we enjoyed learning about nutrition, exploring the farm, and eating the delicious soup that we made together.  Many thanks to all parents who drove and chaperoned. 

I will be sending home progress reports tomorrow.  This trimester ends on March 4.

Read:  30 min.  Book Talk activity is due on Tues., 2/10.
"Paul Revere's Ride":  Be prepared to recite the first two stanzas tomorrow.
Social Studies:  Using your notes, write your first news story for your colonial newspaper.  You may write this in your writing journal, making sure to edit your writing carefully.  Also, use the guidelines and the sample news story I gave you for help.
