We began the heritage report in class today.  We will continue to work on rough drafts of the report over the next two weeks.  I will then begin assigning final drafts (in small doses) the following week.

I sent home the Jogging for the Arts forms today.  This event will take place on April 28.  I also sent home the order form for the burrito dinner fundraiser for 6th grade science camp.  This will be happening the night of Open House, 5/4.

Our trip to the Watsonville Courthouse is this Thursday.  Many thanks to all my parents who have offered to drive.  If you cannot drive but would like to come by to see the play, please do so.  The "cookie trial" will take place at noon.  I'm not sure which courtroom we will get, but the deputy who will greet you will direct direct you to where we will be.

We will begin writing the heritage report this week.  I've asked the kids to bring in their notes.

Book Report: Edit your "Character/Setting" paragraph.  I will give you special paper tomorrow to write the final draft. If you want to type your paragraph, you may do this tonight and bring it in tomorrow.  Remember to not use a big font - "12" works well.
